The directors of the Academy, Susan Myers and Donna Oas, share a lifetime of dance experience, first as dance students, then ballet company members, professional dancers, faculty members and now as co-directors of Majestic Dance Academy.
As sisters, they began their dance training at early ages training with Lillian Lupau in Houston Texas. Upon moving to New Orleans at the ages of 8 and 10, they trained with Joseph and Maria Giacobbe and were founding members of Delta Festival Ballet. The sisters were awarded summer scholarships to study in New York City. Susan studied with Harkness House and Donna with Harkness House and Joffery Ballet. Susan And Donna trained with some of the greatest teachers of the era, Robert Joffery, David Howard, Ben Stevenson, Bill-Martin Viscount, Elixabeth Carroll, Rochell Zide-Boothe, and Leon Danileon.

Donna graduated from High School and moved to New York City for a year of intense ballet training and was then accepted into Houston Ballet in 1976 under the direction of James Klauser. In 1977 she was accepted into Dallas ballet and performed in the company until 1983 under the direction of George Skibine and Flemming Flindt. She was also on the faculty of Dallas Ballet Academy until 1984. She and her family moved to Grapevine in 1985 and co-founded the academy with her sister Susan. |

Susan continued her education out of high school and graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a BS degree In Business Administration. While attending college, she danced in the University Dance Troupe. She began teaching dance at Northside Dance Academy in 1974 and was assistant director from 1977 until 1980. She then taught at Gerami Academy of Fine Arts in Lafayette Louisiana where she taught from 1980 until 1986 when she and her family moved to Grapevine. |
